Intermunicipal alliances

We hold workshops with the participation of the municipalities, the state government, federal government and the civil society, having as a result the sum of wills and the creation of instances to improve life quality of the inhabitants of Yucatan’s coast. Our main goal is to create an efficient intermunicipal organism which will improve the negotiation and financial capabilities to give continuity to the municipal environmental projects beyond administration changes.

Fire prevention community

With the help and support of the Mexican Fund for Nature Conservation, we have make alliances with 6 civilian organizations and we have created the “Community for the learning of Fire preventions” (learning community for fire preventions?) to prepare ejidatarios (people from the community that work in the forest) and work as a network to prevent forest fires.

Naturalistic Guides, teachers and children

The naturalistic local guides and the school teachers that have supported us, as volunteers, in coastal and rural communities are part of an important team that teaches and follows up the Kids and Critters’ bird workshops for children and adolescents. After 3 years, this people have get together to have joint activities and have continue teaching about the environment as community leaders.
