Merida Schools

We are about to start a project with schools in Merida. The actions will be the holding of environmental festivals, on which it will be tackle in a fun, brief and simple way environmental issue, with the purpose to simply leave a message to think about.

This educational Project, on its first stage, will be aimed to students at the private elementary school from Merida, and on its second stage, it will be expanded to schools from the coastal communities.

It is expected to sensitize children: the future Yucatan professionals, business people, and politicians, as the “social leaders force” that without doubt will decide about the handling of the environment, approval and enforcement of laws, projects and actions that affect natural resources; under the supposition that being properly inform about the potential for development, they will increase the possibilities or making good models for development, considering the conservation, handling and proper usage of nature.

Universal precepts such as: “At the end, we only keep what we love, love what we know, and know what we are taught” and “future is not what is coming, but what we are making” are taking form for the benefit of our children, to improve the relation man-nature and therefore their life quality.
